History

Suratthani Rajabhat University established an international college to be a center of learning and producing the personnel who expertise in tourism and hospitality and received an approval from the Ministry of Education to establish a college according to the ministerial regulations dated on March 1, 2005, announced in the Royal Gazette, Page 72, Episode 20, March 8, 2005, as the 5th faculty of Suratthani Rajabhat University.

Later, Suratthani Rajabhat University Council approved the educational and service development project, International College of Tourism, Koh Samui Surat Thani by Dr. Thanom Intarajum, at the Suratthani Rajabhat University Council Meeting No. 7/2007, Thursday 12 July 2007 and the Suratthani Rajabhat University Council Meeting No. 8/2007, Thursday 16 August 2007 and 9th / 2007, Thursday 20 September 2007 approved methods and budgets for education management of International College of Tourism, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province.

Currently, the International College of Tourism proceeds in both Muang Surat Thani District and Koh Samui district and teaches both Thai and international programmes whilst consisting of tourism programme, hotel programme and aviation industry programme. Furthermore, SRU has decided to be a center for learning and producing personnel about tourism and hospitality industry.

 

Location

International College of Tourism Suratthani Rajabhat University is located at 36 Moo 6, Bophut Sub-district, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani. Currently, there are 2 campuses, ​​Koh Samui district and Surat Thani within Suratthani Rajabhat University.

International College of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University provides two programmes, as follows;  Bachelor of Arts, program of hospitality industry management, consiting of three majors: tourism, hotel and aviation business. Besides, Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Hotel Management (International Program).
